Your role
The main responsibilities of this role include:
• Visualising, creating and producing original, creative, and engaging design solutions across all design platforms.
• Embracing new and innovative ways to communicate across all BA digital and social channels.
• Designing for the web, mobile and social media.
• Collaborating with our Marketing Manager and wider Marketing Team to support initiatives related to JBA's marketing strategy.
• Staying on top of industry trends and sharing insights with the team.
The team member we’re looking for
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Digital Designer to help us deliver our marketing strategy.
You will have creative input into marketing campaigns, taking ownership and delivering the design aspects of each campaign from concept to completion.
You will be proactive, organised, able to manage your own workload, and prioritise your projects.
You be able to work collaboratively with the wider team and other stakeholders within the business. You will be innovative and creative, bringing new ideas to the team and to JBA. You will be able to understand the brief and be confident to make suggestions where suitable to add value.
Qualifications
A degree (or equivalent) in a design related subject with some relevant experience in digital design and a design portfolio. Applicants may be contacted to provide a design portfolio.
Essential attributes for the role
As a minimum you will have digital design, web design and user experience; including the following:
• Knowledge of graphic design fundamentals and designs rules
• Knowhow to create web page layouts
• Experience in print design and productions
• Experience of logo design and branding
• Knowledge of web image optimisation
• Video / Audio skills
You will be able to competently use the Adobe Creative Suite specifically Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro and Premier Pro.
Desirable attributes for the role
Knowledge of the following software would be desirable:
• Adobe Lightroom, After Effects and Audition
• PowerPoint, Word, Excel
• WordPress editor
• HTML and CSS (basic knowledge).
Knowledge and experience of the following areas would be advantageous:
• Animation / motion graphics
• Illustration (technical diagrams, creative art)
• Infographics
• Photography
• AI tools in the creative sector
Being able to critique and provide constructive feedback to junior members of the team.
