Would you like to work towards an apprenticeship with an established environmental and engineering consultancy. Working alongside our in-house technical experts whilst studying towards a recognised qualification with a dedicated training provider (college or university)?

Our Scottish Civil Engineering apprenticeship opportunities are available from HNC to Degree and combine study with supported workplace training from industry professionals to provide you with practical experience to excel in your career.

Essential attributes for the role

To apply for this apprenticeship, by the end of August 2025, you will need:

-To be over the age of 18
- To reside in Scotland and have the right to work in Scotland to qualify for funding
-To live within a commutable distance of the office you are applying to
-Sufficient I.T. skills to learn relevant software tools under supervision, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

JBA supports hybrid working which provides for greater flexibility with the way that we work.

The role will be located at our Edinburgh office within the Heriot Watt Research Park, home to Edinburgh’s largest science park. Presenting a unique way in which to learn and work, the office is surrounded by green space and provides free general parking and secure bike storage. Approximately seven miles from central Edinburgh and situated within the University campus, the office is well positioned in relation to the main transport networks, including the nearby Hermiston Gate Park and Ride where you will find the nearest EV charging facilities, for those travelling by road.
